London: Golden Cockerel Press. 1939.

Limited edition, number 297 of 300. 255x161mm. pp.88. Black quarter morocco (lettered in gilt to spine) and beige cloth, bound by Sangorski and Shepherd. Eight woodcuts by Geoffrey Wales (including the full page frontispiece). Top edge gilt. Pages uncut. The front pastedown has the bookplate of Jean Johnston and the front free endpaper has a gift inscription "For Jean 6.3.46 from Bas". This is a very good copy of a nice example of the Golden Cockerel Press printing based on the rare 1622 edition of the history of the Pilgrim Fathers.
