Paris: Images Obliques. 1978.

First edition. 218x141mm. pp. 112. Original dark grey cloth lettered in red to upper cover and spine. There is cracking internally to the hinges but the pages are holding. The contents consist of a four page introductory essay by Michel Camus entitled "Le calligraphie du Sacrum" followed by a selection from Maccheroni's set of two thousand close up, tightly cropped photographs of women's vaginas. There is something relentlessly and almost aggressively banal about these. They are certainly highly unerotic and, after a while, one ceases to see them as part of the human anatomy and begins to view them as abstract works of conceptual art. A very good copy in fine condition. Cent photographies erotique is the third of the collection "Images Obliques" produced by Roger Borderie and Michel Camus.
