Black Sex Power
Washington, D.C. Guild Press. 1970.

First edition. 217x130mm. pp. 142. Illustrated paper covers showing a montage of coupling men over which is a design of a bomb coloured bright pink on which the title is written in blue. The blurb on the lower cover describes "an explosive book about an explosive subject". The subject is inter-racial relationships between gay men - described here as "integrated" . This is an important book as it seeks to break down the taboos that existed at the time about such relationships. The text and the (many) accompanying photographs aim to make it clear that such relationships are normal, fun and explosive.
